Ann Kronrod (Ph.D., 2010, Tel Aviv University) is Visiting Assistant Professor of Marketing at BU. Before that, Ann was a Postdoctoral researcher in Marketing at MIT Sloan School of Management for 2 years, Assistant Professor of Advertising at Michigan State University (MSU) for 3 years, and Visiting Assistant Professor of Marketing at Northeastern University. Ann’s research brings together consumer psychology, analysis of language use and psychology, and pro-social marketing. For example, backed by a Marketing Science Institute grant, Ann is developing a project which combines experimental and computational methods to detect insincerity in user-generated content such as fake product reviews, by the language the author of the content used.
